Net Zero Carbon Reporting

Our Net Zero Carbon Reporting service provides clear insight into your organisation’s energy use and emissions profile. Using national and international reporting standards such as SBTi and GHG Protocol, we establish baseline years, track annual progress, and identify the most cost-effective reduction measures across buildings, transport, waste and operations.

We also help quantify the benefits of renewable energy, energy procurement and efficiency investments to demonstrate measurable progress. We work with organisations from conception, baseline year setting, NZC target year conception though a yearly or quarterly steering meetings to ensure trajectory remains on target.

Our Net Zero Carbon Reports help you visualise and achieve your own targets to become a Net Zero Carbon organisation:

  • Establish baseline years and carbon footprints aligned with SBTi and GHG Protocol.
  • Identify and prioritise carbon reduction actions across your buildings, fleet, and operations.
  • Track progress and quantify the benefits of energy efficiency and renewable investments.
  • Provide clear, actionable steps to transition your organisation to Net Zero Carbon.

GHG Protocol

Understanding your full emissions profile is key to decarbonisation. Using the GHG Protocol, Focus Green measures and categorises your Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, including supply chain impacts. This data provides the foundation for effective management, target setting, and progress reporting across your organisation.

Accurate measurement is fundamental to successful decarbonisation:

  • Apply the GHG Protocol framework for complete Scope 1, 2 and 3 analysis.
  • Understand direct and indirect emissions across your operations and supply chain.
  • Develop data-driven management actions to reduce emissions and track performance.

CRREM Analysis

The Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM) framework helps identify climate-related risks within property portfolios. Focus Green’s consultants map CRREM decarbonisation pathways to highlight potential stranding assets and retrofit opportunities that enhance asset value and tenant demand.  We aim to avoid a toxic stock scenario and ensure assets are not disposed of due to a simple standing issue.

Manage your assets on a pathway to Net Zero Carbon-enabled facilities:

  • Map operational emissions against CRREM decarbonisation pathways.
  • Identify risks of stranding and opportunities for retrofit.
  • Utilise our NZC Portal to gain the right tenant data.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)

Future modelling is key to every EPC undertaken.  EPC traditionally are a point in time survey, lodged and addressed almost on a race to the bottom basis.  At Focus Green we start with the As Built model, then on every EPC evaluate the best fit and realistic routes to A ratings.

Compliance drives change:

  • Embrace regulatory pressures while delivering EPCs with Net Zero principles.
  • Achieve A-rated portfolios through practical energy-efficiency improvements.
  • Use EPC tracking to transform your portfolio in line with tenant aspirations and targets.
  • Reveal opportunities for Net Zero transformation through EPC insights.
  • Focus on M&E solutions first.

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) – Landlord Consultancy

With proposed tightening MEES regulations, landlords and investors must ensure assets achieve EPC B or better by 2030, in our experience landlords are targeting A/B ratings regardless of MEES Regulations.  The rental market is demanding energy efficient buildings depicted in the EPC ratings for potential tenants.

Focus Green assesses portfolio performance, producing EPC Trackers, and develops bite sized improvement plans for HVAC, lighting, and insulation upgrades. We also advise on compliance exemptions and future-proofing strategies.

Ensure your portfolio remains compliant and future-proofed under evolving MEES regulations:

  • Assess EPC ratings across your estate, 80% of EPCs raised by Focus Green naturally increases in ratings.
  • Develop improvement plans to achieve EPC B or better by 2030
(if implemented) - Current compliance is an E rating.
  • Provide Building Modelling for EPCs with recommendations on the most cost-effective route to A ratings.
