Energy Audits & Carbon Reduction Reports

Energy Audits

The Energy audits take between 1 ½ hours to 4 hours on site, depending on.
• Number of buildings.
• Number of meters
• Power sources that need checking
• Carbon efficiency rating
• Checking any current renewables and how efficient
• Billing – Are you using brown or Green energy

We will confirm areas that are both carbon efficient & non carbon efficient. We would always advise Green Energy over Brown, this may not always be the most cost effective, but is much friendlier to the environment.

An energy audit is an inspection survey and an analysis of energy flows for energy conservation in a building. It may include a process or system to reduce the amount of energy input into the system without negatively affecting the output. Please ask one of our Auditors about any credits available. Valid for 36 months depending on any additional work to the site.

Carbon Efficient and Renewable Solutions

Areas of Expertise

Carbon reduction plans and Energy audits are needed for all private & public sector businesses across the UK in order to establish how carbon efficient your business is, how to improve and where to go to install these measures at each site.

Solar PV

There are several benefits of switching to solar PV: Solar is a renewable energy source which can be harnessed everywhere in the world, every day; Using solar energy means you will be reducing your electricity bills. The more solar energy you generate, the less you’ll be paying for electricity.

Solar Farms

Solar farms are large-scale, ground-mounted solar installations. They use photovoltaic (PV) panels or other means of collecting solar energy, like concentrating solar systems, to harness the sun’s power. Solar farms are also known as ‘solar parks,’ ‘solar plants’ and ‘solar power stations.’

Solar Thermals

Solar thermal is a system using panels to create heat for use in domestic hot water. In the summer months, solar thermal panels could meet all or a substantial proportion of your domestic hot water demands. It is a simple, reliable technology which comes with a number of benefits.

Combined Heating Systems

CHP is a highly efficient process that captures and utilises the heat that is a by-product of the electricity generation process. By generating heat and power simultaneously, CHP can reduce carbon emissions by up to 30% compared to the separate means of conventional generation via a boiler and power station.

LED Lighting

LED lighting products produce light approximately 90% more efficiently than incandescent light bulbs. How do they work? An electrical current passes through a microchip, which illuminates the tiny light sources we call LEDs and the result is visible light.

EV Charging

An EV charging station is a piece of equipment that connects your EV to a power supply. Charging stations are fundamental for EVs, as they are what provide the “fuel” for the vehicle; just like gas stations do for conventional vehicles. Types of Charging Stations You’ll find charging stations both in people’s homes and at car parks.

Wind Power

The terms wind energy or wind power describe the process by which the wind is used to generate mechanical power or electricity. Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy in the wind into mechanical power. This mechanical power can be used for specific tasks (such as grinding grain or pumping water)

Tidal Power

Tidal energy is produced by the surge of ocean waters during the rise and fall of tides. Tidal energy is a renewable source of energy.  Tidal power is a form of hydropower not that different from the hydropower that involves damming a river and using water under the influence of gravity to power a turbine. Tidal power actually turns out to have its roots in gravity as well.

Air Source Heat Pumps

There are numerous benefits to using heat pumps, which is a renewable alternative to heat your business in the UK. With an air source heat pump, you can save money on your energy bills and reduce your carbon footprint compared to a gas or electric heating system. One of the key advantages of air source heat pumps is their versatility and affordability.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

There are several benefits of switching to solar PV: Solar is a renewable energy source which can be harnessed everywhere in the world, every day; Using solar energy means you will be reducing your electricity bills. The more solar energy you generate, the less you’ll be paying for electricity.

Cavity Wall Insulation

Cavity wall insulation is a thermal insulation method used to reduce heat loss through a cavity wall by filling the air space with thermal insulator. Thermal Engineering

Biomass

A biomass boiler works in a very similar way to conventional boilers, combusting fuel to produce heat that is then used to heat water. Biomass boilers are normally substantially bigger than their fossil fuel-burning brothers though, for a number of reasons.

Voltage Optimisation

Using Voltage Optimisation with electrical equipment such as refrigeration or air cooling devices, 3-phase motors, high-intensity discharge or fluorescent lighting, will reduce energy consumption and create real financial savings.

Hydrogen Power

Hydrogen is a clean fuel that, when consumed in a fuel cell, produces only water. Hydrogen can be produced from a variety of domestic resources, such as natural gas, nuclear power, biomass, and renewable power like solar and wind. These qualities make it an attractive fuel option for transportation and electricity generation applications.

About Us

Helping you Save Money & Energy

Here at Focus Green we offer simple to understand energy audits and carbon reduction plans. The UK Government have made agreements at COP26 In Glasgow with other world leaders that we as a 1st world nation shall be carbon neutral by 2030 & carbon zero by 2050.

The current Energy crisis is pushing Energy costs higher & higher and this will only get worse as time goes on, so becoming more energy efficient, using less natural gases, thus meaning less energy being used, will also save your business money.
